Description: This session will cover the impact of AI in Medical and Residency Application and Selection, exploring how AI is changing the admissions and selection processes in medical schools and residency programs for both interviewees and interviewers. Associate Dean for MD Programs and Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Ioannis Koutrouios, MD, PhD, MBA, and member of the AAMC's AI in Admissions and Selection Technical Advisory Committee, will discuss the current status of these tools in academic medicine, review the challenges and concerns for embracing them more broadly, and highlight potential future applications as programs more towards a more efficient, effective, fair, and informed process.
