In-person workshop in Ross Hall.
The Early Faculty Development Workshop is a half-day professional development workshop designed for early-career faculty to explore and discuss specific strategies to enhance their careers. The workshop consists of short presentations, a panel discussion, and interactive discussions on topics essential for understanding the academic medicine environment, discovering your career options, and developing your professional portfolio. This is a fully in-person workshop that will take place in Ross Hall.
By the end of this session, faculty will be able to:
- Describe the SMHS Appointments, Promotions, & Tenure (APT) criteria and requirements.
- Identify strategies to raise their professional achievements through development, research, and mentoring.
- Formulate an Individual Development Plan.
*Due to the focus on the promotion and tenure process, the workshop is limited to active status, regular (full-time) faculty at GW Medicine. For mid-career faculty and those with Limited Service, Research, and Clinical Appointments, please stay tuned for upcoming career development workshops in the spring!
