Want to start using genAI tools but don’t know where to start? Join the CFE for our second Fall Workshop Education Technology Session.
Description and Speakers:
Kirsten Brown, PhD, MA, Associate Director of Teaching & Learning and Career Development, and Teodora Hristov, Senior Instructional Designer, will provide an overview of how genAI tools, such as ChatGPT, Napkin.ai, Microsoft Copilot, and other apps can be used for designing slides, writing narratives, and developing clinical cases and multiple-choice questions (MCQs). We will also cover opportunities and limitations in applying tools to your text and presentation needs. Participants will leave with strategies to integrate AI into their future endeavors.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the session participants will be able to:
- Describe the purpose of Napkin.ai and Gamma for creating visuals.
- Apply genAI tools to create multiple-choice questions and clinical cases.
- Discuss ways that AI-generated MCQs and clinical cases can be used in teaching and assessments.
Because the workshop will be application-focused, we are asking each attendee to submit ONE multiple-choice question (MCQ) on a topic of your choosing using the link provided here. We will be comparing these that are generated using the AI tools. We recommended submitting those that are used for formative (i.e., practice) purposes.
