This is a virtual training session offered by the CFE.

This meeting is a part of the training and is scheduled as a live session at noon on December 15.

If you have faced this challenge, you are not alone!  While finding balance may be difficult, this training will hopefully provide you with some tips and perspective that will help you find ways to incorporate both teaching and research into your work.

By the end of this workshop, you should be able to:

  • Identify ways to balance teaching, research, and service in their own careers.
  • Describe ways one's research, teaching, and service can be connected.
  • Recognize resources and supports available to health professions education academics.

This training will be a little bit different than previous modules, in that there is no recorded video.  Instead, there is a brief article.  As an assignment, we are asking you to vote on a pre-selected question for our panelists.

This training has these components:

  1. Pre-session prep: Read the article.
  2. Pre-session prep: Vote on a pre-selected question for our panelists.
  3. Pre-session survey/quiz (completed during live session)
  4. Attend a live session via Zoom.
  5. Submit the survey/evaluation.
