This is a virtual training session offered by the CFE.
This meeting is a part of the training and is scheduled as a live session at noon on August 18.
This session will introduce participants to Learning Objectives and will provide context for why we need learning objectives, as well as how to write and use them well.
By the end of this workshop, you should be able to:
- Identify key components of a well-written learning objective
- Discuss the process for writing learning objectives
- Practice writing effective learning objectives
This training has five major components:
- Pre-session survey/quiz
- Pre-session Learning Objectives Overview video (10 min)
- Pre-session Prep: Draft 3 of your own Learning Objectives (use a session that you teach or might teach at some point; alternatively, pick a topic that you are interested in, and might like to teach someday)
- Attend the in-person session. (1 hour)
- Post-session survey/quiz.
This session is intended to give you the opportunity to practice writing and refining learning objectives, as well as to get feedback from peers, colleagues, and experts. The session will be mostly application and practice.
