The application deadline is March 3, 2025.
Workshop Description: Promotion from Associate Professor to Full Professor requires a higher level of achievement in teaching, service, and scholarship and remains elusive for some faculty members. This half-day workshop will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills to pursue promotion to full professor. The workshop will include a presentation on SMHS guidelines for promotion, a panel presentation by senior faculty from clinical, basic, and health science departments who have served on the APT committee or successfully mentored faculty in their promotions, and a presentation on advocating for mid-career faculty. Attendees will have dedicated time during the workshop to develop their own plans for promotion.
This workshop will be all in-person, in Ross Hall.
